The Algebra Group ("we", "us", or "our") operates the CFO Dashboard, a financial advisory platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, company name, and role when you register.
• Financial data: With your explicit authorization, we access QuickBooks financial data including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports.
• Usage data: Log data, IP addresses, and browser information for security and performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide financial advisory services through the portal.
• To sync and display financial data from connected QuickBooks accounts.
• To send account-related emails (verification, notifications).
• To improve and maintain the platform.

3. QuickBooks Data

We connect to QuickBooks Online via Intuit's official OAuth 2.0 API. We only request the Accounting scope to read financial reports. We do not modify, delete, or write data to your QuickBooks account. Access tokens are stored securely and can be revoked at any time by disconnecting from the portal.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Financial data accessed through QuickBooks is only shared with authorized advisors within your firm on the platform.

5. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.

7. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Disconnect QuickBooks at any time from within the portal.
• Request a copy of your data.
